Many Club members have an absorbing interest in fossils and maintain very interesting collections.
The Club also has a number of specimens on display.
At times the collection of fossils is an interesting part of field trips.
Fossils found in the north of Western Australia indicate early life forms in the area to be well over three thousand million years old, among some of the oldest in the world.
Fossil species found by members include early sea life, including fish and plants.
