Club outings to collect rocks, gemstones and minerals, and to enjoy the "bush" are conducted on a regular basis, usually every month. Some are day trips to nearby localities, others are held on long weekends and at Easter. In mid year (usually July) a two week trip is organised to more distant rock hunting areas.

These outings are led by experienced Club members with an intimate knowledge of the materials being sought and the areas to be explored.

Western Australia is renowned for its wildflowers and in spring, a trip is organised to an area in the country where magnificent and colourful displays of wildflowers can be viewed and photographed.

It is a very satisfying experience to participate in these expeditions as they provide members with an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the flora and fauna throughout the State.

Historic relics from our States interesting past and the geology of the country are also explored.

It is not necessary to have a four wheel drive vehicle to participate in these outings.

From time to time, other day trips are organized to places of interest in nearby localities.
